UBU!

Christmas Eve was spent at Tia Sandra and Tio Lucio's house. The whole family came, one by one, we ate, we played games, we danced, we opened presents, it was a good time. The next day, we slept in a little, ate a small breakfast, and headed to the beach town of Ubu. I'd heard tons of good things about Ubu from a few different people, and this was Yuri's first time there in 6 years!

It was beautiful.

The weather was perfect, and the beach was sparsely populated because it was Christmas day. What. A. Christmas. And a happy year and 8 months for Yuri and I :)

A few more pictures

Ice cold.

There's a deck off of the mall where people can go to have a beer and relax and enjoy the view, so we did!

Going to the mall the day before Christmas Eve

The trip to the mall was actually pretty far. We took a nicer bus that had the AC on full blast. We took tons of pictures along the way (You'll see the reflection of the bus windows in some pictures). We got some cool pictures of the Port of Vitoria. The mall is huge and was totally packed. The line to sit on Papai Noel's lap was SO LONG. The tree in the mall is massive and Papai Noel is actually inside the tree, pretty cool. There were tons of sales going on. We walked by a couple of American stores with outrageous prices.

The funniest thing about the mall is that there are lots of stores named "Mr. Something". Like the store called Mr. Cat that we went into just so we could say we'd been shopping at Mr. Cat. Later on we ate at Mister Pizza. Too funny!
